During Week 2 of this term, the Specialist teachers invited parents & caregivers of Year 8 students to visit their rooms and see their child learning in their Specialist programmes.
Programmes visited included Digitech, Food, French, Multi Materials, Performance Media, Te Reo Maori, and Visual Art.
Teachers and students alike appreciated the families who were able to take time out of their busy schedules to participate in the action of the Specialist classes.

Te Reo – Ms Skelton
The walls of the new Te Akomanga Reo show photos of the 15 Year 8 classes who are experiencing a performance based Te Reo Maori experience. In class, it is all about whakarongo, titiro, kōrero (listen, look, speak) and for homework it is all about whakarongo, titiro, tuhituhi (listen, look, write).

On Thursday 13th September the Technology Showcase took place in our school hall.
Students and their parents were able to see some of the work our students have been involved in so far this year. It was a great opportunity for our Year 7 students to see what the Year 8’s get up to and hopefully it gave them more information on which to base their option choices for next year. It was also the perfect chance for our students to showcase all the hard work they have put into their technology classes this year!

The Technology Showcase Evening gave students and their families the opportunity to come and see some of the work they have been involved in so far this year.
