Netball - Central Zones Boys

On the 2nd of August, 21 boys travelled to Windmill netball courts to compete in the Central Zone Competition. The sun was shining and the boys were excited to get the competition started.

Our experienced Year 8's had a tough pool and faced players they had remembered from the previous year. In their first game, they suffered a loss but they continued to hold their head high and fight for a finals position, unfortunately their draw with Pasadena Intermediate meant they missed out and finished fourth overall.

Our Year 7 team had a strong determined attitude that continued throughout the day. They won all their pool games (some convincingly) and their semi-final round against Waikowhai.

Heading into the finals against Ponsonby Intermediate the pressure was on, and the boys stayed strong and took out the win for the day.

All boys played outstandingly and it is such a pleasure to see the enjoyment all the boys have in the sport of netball. The Year 7 team will head to Interzones on the 30th of August.
